OPEN AND FREE ELECTIONS
Open and Free Elections
•All elections shall be free, and open to the public
•Political advertising, spending, etc. shall be disallowed
•Ranked choice voting shall be implemented across all levels of government elections
•Political Parties shall be dissolved, their funds seized to seed the public election system, and all future attempts at political organizing shall be made illegal, 1st Amendment protected protests excepted.
•Citizens must meet requirements to run for office, however, those requirements shall be simplified commensurate with their bid for office.
•These requirements shall be:
•50 signatures, for all offices at the local and county levels
•50 signatures for State Representative, State Senator, and US Congress
•A Minimum of 10 Signatures from each county in the state for Governor, and US Senate
•A Minimum of 1,000 signatures from a given state to gain access to that states ballot
•Write-In candidates require no minimums, and shall be a blank fill in option for all citizens to use as they see fit, if candidates that do “make the cut” are undesirable to them
•Additionally any candidates whose policy, or platforms include discrimination, religious supremacy, or other similarly Unconstitutional verbiage shall not only be disallowed from running for office, but charged with violating Federal Law
•Similarly, persons currently in office with aforementioned ideology, or voting records reflecting the aforementioned shall be similarly removed from office, effective immediately, their legislative activities nullified, reversed, or otherwise countermanded and charged with violation of the respective federal laws.
•All candidates who meet the requirements for ballot access shall be granted an opportunity to address their respective constituency, provided by the respective government institution, and be given equal time to address the public on their policies, to make their case for their candidacy. These events shall be clearly advertised to the public, be free to the public to access, attend, and observe, shall be shared across all existing forms of medium, and guarantee that all candidates receive equal time, without any preferential treatment for order of precedence.
•In extreme cases where there are a lot of candidates vying for a single position, it is encouraged to hold primaries between the candidates, utilizing all forms of electoral mechanisms in place, until a minimum of 5 candidates remain and can share 12 minutes of stage time, per future event.
•Events shall be at a minimum monthly, and should be limited to one “level” of government: Local, County, State, Federal respectively. In this case it would be a different set of candidates per week, each month.
•In the case of primaries, these events shall be held a minimum of twice a week on their scheduled week, and once during the other weeks until 5 candidates remain.
